EASTER CELEBRATION AT RAILWAY QUARTERS, ENUGU STATE, NIGERIA

The programme commenced at 2:00 PM, with the NGO members inviting neighbourhood residents to gather at a designated venue provided by the railway staff.

Opening Ceremony
  • Time: 2:05 PM
  • Activity: Opening prayer led by Fr. Michael Nwankwo, followed by the introduction of the NGO members.
  • Speech: Fr. Michael Nwankwo presented the foundation’s aims and objectives, explaining the meaning of Easter. The community welcomed the initiative warmly.
Main Activities

Food and Drink Distribution: Lydia Madukaife and Jenny Ikechukwu made sure food and drinks got to all present.

Community Engagement:

  • Fr. Michael interviewed three elderly residents, including Mrs. Ebere, to gain insights into their experiences and situations.
Closing Ceremony
  • Time: 4:30 PM

The closing prayer was said by Fr. Michael, marking the successful conclusion of the event. The team then departed.
The programme was a resounding success, bringing joy and enhancing community spirit.
